Conventional dentures rely on suction and adhesive to stay in place — they can shift when eating, speaking or laughing, causing discomfort and embarrassment. Implant-supported dentures solve this by anchoring the denture to dental implants placed in the jaw. The implants act as stable anchor points, holding the denture firmly in position at all times.
At Envy Smile near Harlesden, two options are available. Implant-retained overdentures attach to 2–4 implants via ball or bar attachments — the denture clips onto the implants but can still be removed for cleaning. Fully fixed implant-supported prostheses (as in All-on-4 or All-on-6) are permanently attached to the implants and not removable by the patient.
